The author
Hannah Weitemeier (1942–2013) was a German art historian and author. She worked as a curator in West Berlin in the 1980s. Her particular interest was in the Düsseldorf-based ZERO artists' group, which was influenced by the monochrome painting practices of Yves Klein, Piero Manzoni, and Lucio Fontana.
