An artist couple and their unique perspectives: a double exhibition by Armin and Moritz Morbach at the Roschlaub Gallery. As husband and wife, they not only share their lives together, but also their love of art and aesthetics. Armin Morbach is editor-in-chief of the beauty and culture magazine Tush, a hair stylist, makeup artist, and, last but not least, a photographer. His husband, Moritz, a trained vocational school teacher, is a freelance artist known for his boundlessly creative and multidimensional images, created from hundreds of Lego bricks.
"Armin and Moritz don't follow any norms with their art—both develop their own worlds in their own unique way," says Kirsten Roschlaub . "I'm thrilled that the two were willing to present themselves together in my gallery. As different as their photography and Lego art are, the Morbachs, as a 'creative couple', share the same vision of diversity and a sense of beauty and unique perspectives."
Thirteen powerful motifs by Armin Morbach will be presented as large-format prints on baryta paper behind museum glass. Moritz Morbach, who already had a solo exhibition at Galerie Roschlaub a year ago, is adding something unprecedented to his Lego portfolio: bronze objects made from the popular building blocks. The exhibition will open with a Collectors' Dinner for invited guests on June 13, 2024. Morbach x Morbach BLICKWINKEL will be open to the public from June 14, 2024.
