The original was created in 1939 as the artist's last work in Paris before his departure for the USA under the title "Mainbocher Corset." It is considered the artist's most famous work and an icon of 20th-century fashion photography. The work shown here is a very rare palladium-platinum print by the artist from 1985. The work is stamped and signed by the artist. It is also signed "To Diana-with many thanks- Horst." It comes from the artist's estate in Miami and was acquired in New York.
