The Roschlaub Gallery was born out of a simple and passionate vision: to make photography universal.
The concept is to increase appreciation for photographers while preserving the limited and exceptional value of photography. But also to share in its history, the history of its photographer, and its world.
Heart and head
Not only in Hamburg! In the art scene, Kirsten Roschlaub repeatedly causes a sensation, usually when she presents special artists with selected pictures in her exhibitions.
presented. It's usually excellent photographic work that has amazed the photography world, both in the past and today. And yes, one could say that gallery owner Kirsten Roschlaub has turned her passion into her profession. The trained photographer from Hamburg, former founder of the double-K agency and owner of a gallery and production company in the Milchstraße district, has always been involved in photography.
In September 2015, Kirsten Roschlaub (photo) opened her new gallery space on Mittelweg in Hamburg. Her concept: select photographic art at affordable prices.
All images, which are shown in changing exhibitions by various photographers, are available throughout Europe in the gallery's own online shop. Kirsten Roschlaub isn't interested in art as a mere investment. Photos can do so much more," says the gallery owner: bring joy, provide an opportunity for interesting encounters, and "help you see."

Roschlaub: We've adapted to the changes in the art scene in recent years and offer limited edition prints starting at just €200. The associated online shop provides an overview of the works on offer. Her principles: to inspire customers with ever-new discoveries from the world of photography and to offer images of exceptionally high quality. Here, she recommends the following three works by Josef Fischnaller, Jürgen Schadeberg, and FC Gundlach.
JOSEF FISCHNALLER
The oeuvre includes numerous still lifes, including numerous lush floral bouquets. The new photographs reveal richly detailed imagery that viewers can hardly get enough of. In his works, the Berlin-based Austrian uniquely combines the classical art form of painting with the medium of photography.
JÜRGEN SCHADEBERG
The Berlin photographer has had an eventful life. Over the course of his long career, the artist has demonstrated a keen sense of light, composition, the ability to find the right subject at the right time, and his commitment to social justice. His works are part of the permanent collections of numerous museums, including the Tate Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
FC GUNDLACH
His specialization in journalistic-style fashion photography began in 1995 with his work for the Hamburg-based magazine Film und Frau, for which he primarily photographed the fashion of Berlin fashion designers, Parisian haute couture, and portraits of personalities such as Romy Schneider, Hildegard Knef, Dieter Borsche, and Jean-Luc Godard.
