The new Leinders retrospective, "The Works," now offers insight into the beauty and fashion photographer's further work. "I've selected favorite images from the past 15 years," says Bob Leinders. "They were created as freelance work or as part of advertising jobs in South Africa, Mallorca, and Hamburg." On display are still lifes of flowers, a close-up of a woman's hand, fashion shots, black-and-white portraits, and a view of the sea. The 25 motifs will be on view at Galerie Roschlaub in Hamburg from September 22, 2023.

Dutchman Bob Leinders was born in Amstelveen, studied at the St. Joost Academy of Fine Arts in Breda, now lives in Hamburg and travels the world as a photographer.
It's difficult to pinpoint thematic focuses for his work; he has a keen sense for beauty, fashion, and lifestyle, as well as for technology, people, and stills. His images always tell small stories, and so it was inevitable that a whole series of highly atmospheric films now enrich his portfolio.
His special passion project is the portrait series "Covered." A person, an old wool blanket, and nothing else. The series, which was created over several years, was exhibited here for the first time.
